AP Images launches new B2B site offering enhanced photo viewing capabilities and interactive tools

WASHINGTON – AP Images, a commercial division of The Associated Press, announced the launch of an enhanced commercial site for professional image buyers. Visitors to www.apimages.com can now access the most recent content without having to log-in to an account.

“With the AP Images site launch, we are making it easier for customers to access and license photos from our expansive assortment of content, “ said Fernando Ferre, global director of AP Images. “Finding the perfect image online, at times, can be quite tedious. With the site upgrade, the enhanced search capabilities return results faster and more efficiently with enriched information to help buyers find the right image every time.”

The new site features include: new landing pages (go directly to Entertainment, Sports, News, etc.), facilitated search (enriched metadata of photos), internationalized marketing content (read about AP Images in 9 languages), faster log-in and registration and much more.

The AP Images site is integrated with the Cooliris (www.cooliris.com) browser add-on, which instantly transforms a browser into an interactive, full-screen 3D experience for viewing still photos online.

The enhancements will help provide greater visibility of AP Images as one of the world's largest collections of historical and contemporary imagery, with millions of images and a variety of content partners, including the National Football League, Ebony and Jet, VII, NCAA and NBC Universal, among others.
