Student Awards
The AAPBA is dedicated to providing professional advice and assistance to college students interested in broadcast journalism.
Each year, the AAPBA allows students to submit their work for competition against other students across Alabama. The work is judged by radio and TV professionals in Alabama, and the awards are presented at the annual AAPBA convention.
Students who receive an award will be given a convention scholarship, which includes a free room for the weekend and free registration for the student awards luncheon and the AAPBA award banquet. Time also is set aside at the convention for broadcast journalism workshops and critiques of student work. Information on the student contest is available on the links below.
