Photos of the Month
The July photo of the month was a difficult choice, but the award went to Sean D. Elliot, of The Day, for his stand alone feature photo of 5-year-old Cera Flynn, of Danielson, driving her frog, Hoppy, to the finish line in the 3rd annual Frog Jumping Contest sponsored by the 1st Congregational Church of Plainfield. Flynn finished second in her age group.

The photo was one of 40 member photos offered during the month.

The June photo of the month was a difficult choice, but the award went to Jim Shannon, of the Waterbury Republican-American for his moving image of mourners eaving the funeral services for Jazmine Santiago, one of the victims of the bus crash in New York state in May.

The photo is one of nearly 60 member photos offered during the month.
