John McKinney of Sturgis, KY was confirmed dead at the scene.

Kentucky National Guard’s 2/123rd Armor Battalion, was welcomed
home from Iraq by his wife, Shannon, and children, at the
Bowling Green Airport.

Clay Jackson of The Advocate-Messenger is the winner of the Kentucky AP Photo of the Year for 2007. His picture shows Bo Keylon competing in the bareback riding competition Monday, July 2, 2007, during the rodeo at the Lincoln County Fair near Stanford, Ky.
Jackson will receive $100 for his winning photo. Congratulations!

for March 2007. Her photo shows an unidentified person
watching from a window as firefighters work to extinguish a fire on
Sunday, Mar. 4, 2007, in Frankfort, KY. Fire damaged several
downtown Frankfort buildings early Sunday morning, but there were no
reports of injuries. Dan Shouse, a spokesman for the Frankfort
fire department, said a police officer found a stairwell engulfed in
fire about 6 a.m. Sunday.
