Mission Statement

The mission of the Minnesota AP is to serve its members by being a leader in setting the news, broadcast and photo agendas for the state with a report that is of the highest quality, reliability and objectivity.  The Minnesota AP produces hard-hitting stories and captivating photos that are front-page news and lead the newscasts across the state, and strives to add perspective to the news with meaningful, relevant and interesting work. The staff aims to be the first to report stories of national interest from the state, and offers regional perspective on national stories. On breaking news, the Minnesota AP aims to write the stories and produce photos used by news outlets across the region and the nation.

About the AP

The Associated Press is the world's oldest and largest news gathering organization. The cooperative of newspapers, radio stations and television stations provides text, audio, graphics, video, photos and technology to more than 15,000 news outlets worldwide.
