Type in the following information on the login page:
Username: (this is typically the old username and password to one of the legacy systems like Photo Archive)
Password:
This will prompt the registration process. You will see: “Your account needs to be updated.” Click the link that says “Complete your accounts new registration.”
Please fill out the registration form with your contact information, e-mail address and choose a password for your new account.
Click “Submit” at the bottom of the page. You will be receiving a confirmation e-mail confirming that you have registered onto the site.
Click on the link on the confirmation e-mail that will “activate” your account. You only need to do this one time. The activation code is not your password.
As soon as you activate your account, you will be routed back to the login page.
Your new account is your e-mail address for the username and the password that you chose on the registration form.
About AP Images for Members (note: below applies to all members who take PhotoStream. A la Carte members do not have the PhotoStream tab and are charged for each download, price based on circulation)
The PhotoStream section on the site is the replacement for Photo Rerun. There are 14 days worth of images from the PhotoStream feed which can be downloaded at no extra cost.
The Graphics section contains all graphics in both Freehand and PDF formats from the past 10 years. Graphics from the last 14 days can be downloaded at no extra cost. Graphics older than 14 days are $19.
The Creative section contains content from our stock photography partner, Jupiter Images. There is an extra charge for all downloads in this section; the price is based on the paper’s circulation rate.
The Historical section contains content from our Photo Library. Hundreds of new historical images are uploaded to the site every week. This content can be downloaded for the standard $35 rate.
The Editorial section is the replacement for Photo Archive. This section contains all PhotoStream images from the past 13 years, current outtakes from AP Staff photographers and contributor images from our entertainment freelance photographers. All historical images can be found here as well. Most images in this section carry a standard $35 charge to download. In addition, there is Premium content available, which includes images from our Partner contributors such as VII agency, Sipa, Press Association, Kyodo and others.
