RE: NYSAPA PHOTO CONTEST
Dear
Photographers and Photo Editors,
Rules
and entry blanks for the 2007-2008 New
York State Associated Press Association photo contest are enclosed.
We
have added a new category this year,
online photography. This category is
for web-exclusive photography, including audio slideshows, videos, photo
galleries, etc.
Submitted
photos must have been first published in a member newspaper between June 1, 2007, and May 31, 2008.
All entries in all contests must be
postmarked by June 16, 2008.
Please
read the rules and follow guidelines carefully. The NYSAPA board permits the
entry of photos that have been modified or edited by computer ONLY in the
Illustrations category in the graphics contest. Graphics rules are also included
for your reference.
Tear
sheets must accompany photo essay entries, but not other entries. Entries in
the graphics contest must be tear sheets, not original artwork.
In
order to publish a booklet of winners, we need to have each entry carry a signed
copyright release. Please ensure it is signed.
Photographers
may distribute their submissions as they wish, entering all six in one category
or dividing them among two or more categories.
