Trevor Orlowski, 18, of East Freetown, Mass., is treated by rescuers on Jan. 14 after he and a companion were brought our of the woods near the Killington ski area. The two became lost and spent a night in the woods in subzero temperatures. |

"This is more an example of poor insulation or the need to replace storm windows in my house than of good photography.
"I saw this pattern on a window in a room in my Manchester, N.H., home one morning. I love the macro feature on my Nikon Coolpix 4500 and was playing around with it, looking for a good angle to give good contrast. After capturing several different patterns on the glass I thought I'd send one along. It certainly says "cold weather" to me.
"Hope you all enjoy it. Think spring."
