How I got the picture

Hollis:

"I was just getting back to the Sentinel office after looking for weather art following a snow storm. When I got out of my car, I heard the train whistle in the distance and thought it might make a neat shot with all of the snow covering the railroad bridge behind our office along the Kennebec River.

"So, I slid down the embankment through a couple of feet of snow and waited at a curve in the tracks just on the other side of the bridge for the train to start crossing. The train wasn't moving very fast so I had plenty of time to grab a few frames before getting out of the way. However, I did get some curious looks from the train engineer as he went past me. "
