| Hooper:
"I got a tip that two egrets were at a local Keene pond so as soon as I could I drove up there. I had only a few minutes to shoot before I had to go to a scheduled assignment.
"Equipped with my Canon 10D digital and as much focal length as I owned I snuck up to the pond's edge. The egrets were fishing at a perfect spot for me about 50 yards away. I got some shots and felt good that I had captured rarely seen egrets.
"Then a noisy vehicle rolled by on a nearby road and startled the birds and I got off three shots while they were briefly airborne. The first of the three shots was the winner."
