| Carlson:
"Having been called back to the city of Laconia, my plans for the day
in shambles, I was given a tip that the flag pole at the Belknap Mill was going to be repainted. Thinking that the best shot would be
from the top level of the parking garage adjacent to the mill, I headed there just in time for the crane company to lift the painter
to the top of the100 plus foot flag pole.
"I took numerous shots of him using elements of surrounding architecture to add depth to the image. Once satisfied with what I envisioned, I drove over to the mill in search for another vantage point. Unknown to me, the painting company also had plans to repaint the cupola while they were there.
" A bank of cirrus clouds had moved in over the horizon and once the boom got into position I, lined up the diffused sun with the much more visually interesting weather vane as the painter worked on the cupola's finial. I left the shoot knowing my second angle was the keeper."
