Ken Miller
Ken Miller
joined the Associated Press as broadcast editor in the Oklahoma City bureau on
Sept. 11, 2000.
He is a 1985 graduate of Arkansas State University with a degree in
radio-television, with an emphasis in broadcast news, and a minor in political
science.
He began his career in radio in 1981 at Jonesboro, Ark., stations KBTM AM-FM,
where he became director of news and sports.
He joined the staff of KARN and The Arkansas Radio Network in Little Rock in
1991 as a reporter/anchor. He was a legislative correspondent and covered
federal courts, including the "Whitewater" trials of former President Clinton's
business associates and then-Gov. Jim Guy Tucker in 1996. Later duties included
assignment editor and managing editor and he was named news director in April
1998.
Arkansas Associated Press Broadcast Association awards include first place for
Investigative Reporting, Public Affairs, Continuing Coverage and Best Use of
Sound.
Ken lives in Edmond with his wife, Paula, and their 16-year-old daughter and
9-year-old son. In his free time, Ken likes to play golf and help with Cub Scout
projects.
