Jennifer Brown

Jennifer Brown, who grew up in Kalispell, Mont., joined the AP in November 2000. Before that, she was a reporter for the Tyler Morning Telegraph in East Texas and the Great Falls Tribune in Montana.

The 2001 AP Oklahoma staffer of the year, Jennifer has covered tornadoes, cloned cattle and issues involving the 1995 bombing of the federal building.

She is a graduate of Cottey College in Nevada, Mo., and the University of Montana's journalism school.

Her first journalism job was writing a column on Glacier National Park for the weekly Hungry Horse News in Columbia Falls, Mont.  When she's not working, Jennifer enjoys camping with her husband, Don, kickboxing or walking her Labrador retriever, Bowman. She also tutors through Project Read and takes Spanish lessons.
