Clayton Bellamy

Bellamy joined The AP as a legislative relief staffer in Jefferson City, Mo., in
January 2001 after completing a master's degree in journalism at the University
of Missouri.
Bellamy, 30, came to Tulsa in April 2002. He covered Missouri's 2000 U.S. Senate
race in which Gov. Mel
Carnahan died in a plane crash but still posthumously defeated Sen. John
Ashcroft - for the Columbia Missourian and Reuters.
For the AP, Bellamy covered last year's bridge collapse in Webbers Falls and the
Kansas City pharmacist who was convicted in 2002 of diluting chemotherapy drugs.
A native of St. Louis, Bellamy enjoys running and playing
softball.
