Green holds Staffer of the Year plaque

Rick Green has been news editor in the Oklahoma City bureau of The Associated Press for two years. Green was named 2002 Oklahoma AP Staffer of the Year.

A native of Los Angeles, he came to Oklahoma after working as desk supervisor and broadcast editor in the Portland, Ore., bureau of The Associated Press.

A graduate of Humboldt State University in Arcata, Calif., Rick worked for the Daily Pilot newspaper in Costa Mesa, Calif., before joining the AP as an editorial assistant in the Los Angeles bureau.

In his spare time, Rick enjoys running and has completed two marathons. He trains in Tae Kwon Do with his wife, Rebecca, and their three children, Emma, 11; Jacob, 10, and Zachary, 8. Rick is also kept busy with the athletic activities of his children, who play baseball and basketball.
