Deb Martin named AP news editor for Ohio
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Deb Martin, day supervisor for The Associated
Press in Columbus, has been promoted to news editor for Ohio.
The appointment was announced Thursday by Eva Parziale, Ohio
chief of bureau.
Martin joined the AP in Columbus in June 1991. Before joining
AP, Martin had worked nearly 16 years at The Marion Star,
where she was assistant managing editor, city editor, wire
editor and reporter.
She is a native of Burbank, Calif., and a graduate of Heidelberg
College in Tiffin.
Martin succeeds Nancy Nussbaum, who has been named assistant
chief of bureau for Ohio.
The Associated Press, founded in 1848, has more than 240 bureaus
in the U.S. and abroad, providing news content in text, audio,
video, graphics and photos to more than 15,000 news outlets
with a daily reach of 1 billion people worldwide. AP's multimedia
services are distributed by satellite and the Internet to
more than 120 nations.
