Jodie DeJonge named AP assistant bureau chief for Pennsylvania


PHILADELPHIA -- Jodie DeJonge, news editor for The Associated Press in Indianapolis, has been promoted to assistant bureau chief for Pennsylvania.
The appointment was announced Friday by Sally Carpenter Hale, Pennsylvania chief of bureau.

DeJonge joined the AP in 1989 in Milwaukee and was promoted to news editor for New Mexico in 1997. She became news editor in Indianapolis in 2000.


She previously worked for The Northwest Herald in Crystal Lake, Ill. She is a native of Grand Rapids, Mich., and a graduate of Bethany College.


DeJonge succeeds David Marcus, who was named chief of bureau in Albany, N.Y.
