Schneider
named Wisconsin news editor for The Associated Press
MILWAUKEE -- Roger Schneider, a former metro editor of the
Green Bay Press-Gazette, has been named Wisconsin news editor
for The Associated Press.
The appointment was announced Jan. 25 by Wisconsin Chief of
Bureau T. Lee Hughes.
Schneider's most recent position was as an assistant metro
editor at the Asbury Park Press iin Neptune, N.J.
He has worked as a reporter and assistant city editor at The
Orange (Texas) Leader and a reporter and city editor at the
Beloit Daily News. He joined the Green Bay Press-Gazette in
late 1988 and worked as a reporter, business editor and assistant
metro editor. He was named metro editor in 1994 and held that
position until 2003, when he moved to the Asbury Park Press.
Schneider, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee,
succeeds Jennifer Batog, who resigned.
