Volz named AP Juneau
correspondent
ANCHORAGE, Alaska
-- Matt Volz, a newsman for The Associated Press in Anchorage,
has been promoted to correspondent in Juneau.
The appointment was announced Feb. 4 by Larry Campbell, chief
of bureau for Alaska.
Volz joined the AP in 2002 in Jackson, Miss., and transferred
to Anchorage last year. Previously, he worked at The News
Banner of Covington, La., and New Orleans City Business.
Volz, a native of Mandeville, La., is a graduate of the University
of Richmond and holds a master's degree in journalism from
Columbia University.
