Dodds named AP bureau chief in London
NEW YORK -- Paisley
Dodds, news editor for The Associated Press in San Juan, has
been promoted to chief of bureau in London.
The announcement was made Friday by Deborah Seward, AP's international
editor.
As chief of bureau, Dodds will be responsible for directing
coverage in the United Kingdom.
Dodds joined the AP in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1994,
then worked as a correspondent in Miami, Little Rock and Boston
before transferring to the international desk in New York.
She was named news editor in San Juan four years ago.
Major stories that Dodds has covered include the South Africa
election, revolts in Haiti and the U.S. prison camp in Guantanamo.
She also has reported from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Israel.
Dodds is a graduate of John Carroll University in Ohio.
