Lowry
named AP correspondent in Roanoke, Va.
RICHMOND, Va. -- Bob
Lowry, a reporter for the Montgomery (Ala.) Advertiser, has
been named correspondent in the Roanoke bureau of The Associated
Press.
The announcement was
made by Dorothy Abernathy, AP chief of bureau for Virginia.
Lowry was a reporter
for United Press International in Alabama and Texas from 1977
to 1991. He then worked in public relations for Auburn University
until last year, when he joined the Advertiser as a courts
reporter.
Lowry is a 1969 graduate
of Huntingdon College in Montgomery, where he earned a business
degree.
