sells Capitolwire service in Pennsylvania to GovNetPA
NEW YORK -- The Associated Press today announced the completion
of its sale of the assets of Capitolwire, a service in Pennsylvania
that provides state capital news and legislative tracking
information, to GovNetPA, Inc.
The AP has operated the subscription-based service for trade
associations, lobbyists and other professionals since acquiring
it in August 2002. Capitolwire is based in Harrisburg, Pa.
GovNetPA, also based in Harrisburg, is best known for its
legislative tracking service and has operated in Pennsylvania
since 2002. Subscribers of Capitolwire's service originating
from Pennsylvania will see no immediate changes, said Craig
Leach, president of GovNetPA and the new owner of the service.
