Suhr
appointed AP correspondent for southern Illinois
CHICAGO -- Jim Suhr, a business writer in the St. Louis bureau
of The Associated Press, has been appointed correspondent
for southern Illinois.
The announcement
was made April 28 by Richard Brack, assistant chief of bureau
in Chicago. The southern Illinois correspondent is responsible
for news across southern Illinois, including the Illinois
suburbs of St. Louis.
Suhr, who will be based in St. Louis, has been a business
writer in St. Louis since 2001. Suhr joined the AP in 1997
in Detroit, where he worked until moving to St. Louis.
He previously was a reporter for the Leavenworth (Kan.) Times
in Kansas and The Joplin (Mo.) Globe.
