Teresa Wasson named AP news editor in Nashville
NASHVILLE (AP) -- Teresa Wasson, day supervisor in the Nashville bureau of The Associated Press, has been named the AP's news editor for Tennessee.
The appointment was announced Monday by Adam Yeomans, chief of bureau for Tennessee and Kentucky.
Wasson joined the AP in Nashville in 2000 after working as executive editor of the Pensacola (Fla.) News Journal and as a news executive with Gannett Co. in Arlington, Va. She also worked at The Tennessean in Nashville and The Jackson (Tenn.) Sun.
She is a native of Vandalia, Mo., and a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Wasson, 50, succeeds Chad Roedemeier, who is now assistant chief of bureau for New York.
