The Penn Stater profiles AP's Ben Feller and his White House coverage

Washington's Ben Feller, who is part of The Associated Press team covering the White House, is the cover story subject of The Penn Stater, the magazine of the Penn State Alumni Association.
In the profile, Feller, a 1992 Penn State graduate, talks about the excitement and the pressure of covering presidents:
"There are times when you look around, and it's you, a few other reporters, and the president in the Oval Office -- and there isn't live coverage in the Oval Office, so the news happens as quickly as you can get it out. You're listening to what the president's saying, writing it down, and thinking about how to say it. Then you walk out of the Oval Office, and to get from that spot to our booth (in the press room) might take 25 seconds. But you still call ahead as you're leaving, to try to shave 15 seconds off, just to get the story started."
