Rhode Island Places

Readers of the Rhode Island wire may have noticed a new feature in recent months. "Rhode Island Places" is a once-a-month feature that explores quirky, unusual sites in the Ocean State.
Our debut item focused on the White Horse Tavern in Newport, the oldest tavern in the country at 328 years old. In November of 2001, we featured AS220, an unusual artists' space in Providence.
It is moved in advance for use every third weekend of the month .

Watch for Enterprise Digests

Digests are our members' lifeline to knowing what's on the AP wire _ and what's headed their way.
Besides our daily digest, which moves at 2 a.m., 9 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., we also have begun moving each week an Enterprise Digest , which alerts members to upcoming stories packaged for weekend use.
The Enterprise Digest moves on Tuesdays on both the news wire and the message wire.
Weekend stories generally will move in advance on Wednesdays
