Newspaper members
We have been working with Newspaper Members to send photos to the AP
via FTP, a fast and easy way to contribute to the photo report. The
more photos that are sent to the AP by the membership, the more photos
for everyone to choose from.
We have removed the old Electronic Carbons boxes members used
to use to send stories to the AP. Members now contribute to the AP report
via e-mail.
Please contact us for information on how to send news items via email.

The AP has upgraded its satellite network with technology that allows
us to combine our regional and national wires into one, --at a speed
of 19.2k.
Radio : In the past, a 3-meter C-band dish had to be
installed, with the member being responsible for all site preparation
costs in order to receive audio. Recently, we have installed 1.2-meter
KU band satellite dishes along with new electronics which allow digital
audio to be received as well as the high speed news wire.
For more information on our Radio services, please go to our Contact
Us page
for e-mail and phone numbers of the Regional Radio Executives for your
market.
TV: The AP has installed 3.4-meter satellite dishes
to allow for the reception of our APTN video feed. In some cases we
install video decoders through the member's own dish.
For more information on our Television services, please go to our Contact
Us
page for the Regional Television Executive's e-mail and phone number.
