Broadcast Annual Meeting


Greetings everyone.
Here are more details on the upcoming Rapid City and Sioux Falls Associated Press Broadcasters Association meetings.
 
Instead of holding just one, we're again scheduling two this year to coincide with court coverage training that will also be open to other members of the media. That free program, Lost In Court, shows rookie and veteran journalists alike how to cover criminal cases and the court process. It will be held in the same hotel but in a different room.
 
Dates, times and locations:
 
Saturday, April 12, Rapid City
-- 8 am to noon -- Holiday Inn-Rushmore Plaza (http://www.rushmoreplaza.com), Lost In Court, led by Attorney General Larry Long and defense lawyer Robert VanNorman. Cost:  $5 per person for supplies.
-- Noon -- Holiday Inn-Rushmore Plaza, AP awards luncheon and business meeting. Cost: $10.
-- 2-6 pm -- Fourth annual AP golf tournament at Meadowbrook Golf Course (http://www.golfatmeadowbrook.com/). Cost: $30 for 18 holes and cart.
 
Saturday, April 26, Brandon
-- 8 am to noon -- Holiday Inn Express (http://www.brandon-express.com), Lost In Court led by Attorney General Larry Long and defense lawyer Tom Hensley. Cost:  $5 per person for supplies.
-- Noon -- Holiday Inn Express, AP awards luncheon and business meeting. Cost: $10.
-- 2-6 pm -- Fourth annual AP golf tournament at Brandon Golf Course (http://www.brandongc.com/). Cost: $40 for 18 holes and cart.
 
To attend the Rapid City event, please reply to this message or have your news manager reply by Friday, March 21 and indicate how many people will attend the training, luncheon and golf tournament. Fees for the training and lunch are due to the Sioux Falls bureau by Friday, March 28. Green fees for the tourney are paid at the course.
 
For Sioux Falls, please reply to this message or have your news manager reply by Friday, April 4, and indicate how many people will attend the training, luncheon and golf tournament. Fees for the training and lunch are due to the Sioux Falls bureau by Friday, April 11. Green fees for the tourney are paid at the course.
