December 2010 Photo of the Month

Tom Sherlin of The Daily Times is the winner of the December Tennessee member photo contribution of the month for his photo of Jack Marguis, 5, leaping from the lap of Santa Claus into the arms of his father, Tech. Sgt. Zachary Marquis, as he was surprised by the appearance of his father after asking Santa to bring him  home for Christmas, on Dec. 22, 2010 in Maryville, Tenn. November 2010 Photo of the Month

Jim Weber of The Commercial Appeal is the winner of the September photo of the month for his picture of Shelby County firefighters unveiling a Patriot Flag during a ceremony in Memphis, Tenn., on September 30, 2010. The huge flag will fly from ladder trucks in every state on its way to New York for the 10th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.

April 2010 Photo of the Month

Michael Patrick of the Knoxville News Sentinel is the winner of the April Tennessee member Photo of the Month for his picture of defense witness Leon Houston launching into a tirade against Special Judge Jon Kerry Blackwood April 1, 2010 in Kingston, Tenn. Blackwood ruled that Houston's testimony for his brother, Rocky Joe Houston, who is facing multiple charges related to a 2004 police chase, was irrelevant.


March 2010 Photo of the Month

Mike Brown of The Commercial Appeal is the winner of the Tennessee member Photo of the Month for March for his picture of Department of Transportation assistant superintendent Steve Lemon looking into a massive sink hole that opened up on east-bound I-240 loop in Memphis, Tenn., on March 24,2010. The hole, which straddles the inner two lanes, is roughly 12 feet deep, 10 feet long and 6.5 feet wide.

J. Miles Cary of Knoxville News Sentinel is the winner of the AP Tennessee 2010 Photo of the Month for his Feb. 10, 2010 picture of Mark S. Foster being taken into custody for a double shooting in Knoxville, Tenn.


January 2010 Photo of the Month

Dan Henry of the Chattanooga Times Free Press is the winner of the Tennessee 2010 Photo of the month for his Jan. 29, 2010 picture of pedestrians walking across a snow-covered street.

Dan will receive $100 and his winning photo will be showcased on PhotoStream.
