Who we are

Our people
From New York to London, from Beirut to Bangkok, our teams around the world strive for excellence, inside and outside the newsroom. Our journalists go to great lengths, often overcoming tremendous obstacles, to report the news quickly, accurately and honestly, with the utmost attention paid to AP's high standards.
The AP is governed by a leadership team and board of directors. Every day, all of our employees work toward our mission of advancing the power of facts.

Our causes
We have been leading the media industry since our founding in 1846, championing journalism across the globe. We are fierce advocates of press freedom, journalist safety and intellectual property protection. In 2005, we established the AP Emergency Relief Fund to help our colleagues around the world when they are affected by conflict and disaster.
