Jill Craig named AP video journalist in Houston

HOUSTON (AP) - Jill Craig, a video producer at The Associated Press, is joining the cooperative's bureau in Houston as a video journalist.

The appointment was announced Friday by Denise Vance, AP’s U.S. deputy of broadcast news, and Central Region Editor David Scott. Craig will begin work in Houston on April 21, reporting primarily for the AP’s video and television report.

Craig joined the AP in Washington, D.C., in 2013 as a video producer. She worked at the cooperative’s Broadcast News Center to edit and publish video stories for AP members and customers in the U.S. and abroad, as well as for AP’s online video service.

Before joining the AP, Craig was a freelance video journalist for CNN, Voice of America and other news outlets for three years in Kenya and Nigeria.
