UK Prime Minister Theresa May hopes to bring her twice-rejected Brexit deal back to Parliament by March 20.
AP brings you a range of services tailored to your needs. After weeks of political gridlock, Britain’s Parliament voted last week to seek a delay of the country’s departure from the European Union, a move that will likely avert a chaotic withdrawal on the scheduled exit date of 29 March.
If May succeeds in securing the support of MPs in a third "meaningful vote," she is likely to ask EU leaders at a March 21-22 summit in Brussels for a short delay to a date no later than June 30 to give herself time to pass legislative changes necessary for a smooth and orderly Brexit.
However, an EU refusal to extend the deadline would mean that, by law, Britain will still leave the bloc on March 29, with or without a deal, unless it cancels Brexit.
