Pope Francis is to make a pilgrimage to Iraq from 5-8 March in what will be his first overseas trip in 16 months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

AP brings you a range of services tailored to your needs.

The pontiff will begin his visit to Baghdad on Friday 5th with a ceremony at the Presidential Palace. On Saturday he will travel south to the holy city of Najaf followed by Erbil and Mosul, according to the Vatican. He is also expected to travel to the Christian town of Qaraqosh on the Nineveh plains, which emptied entirely when the Islamic State group took over Mosul in 2014.

The historic trip is aimed at encouraging the Christians of Iraq, one of the few countries which eluded the globe-trotting Pope John Paul II.
