Lie detectors trip up border agency applicants

Elliot Spagat, correspondent, San Diego, for using source reporting and records requests to reveal that job applicants at U.S. Customs and Border Protection fail a required lie detector test at more than twice the rate of similar agencies. The revelation raises doubts about whether President-elect Donald Trump can fulfill his campaign pledge to add 5,000 border agents.
