AP analysis: Big chains may grab small-business stimulus


Ryan Foley, state government reporter, Iowa City, took a detailed look at the federal stimulus bill meant to address the economic turmoil in the U.S. caused by the coronavirus outbreak. Foley found that a $349 billion loan program intended to help small businesses survive will be open to large chains and francihises, jeopardizing the mom-and-pop operations.
