The prospects for President Barack Obama’s unfinished agenda at home and abroad, viewed against the backdrop of his lame-duck status, will be the focus of a May 6 discussion presented by The Associated Press at New York University’s campus in Washington.
Journalists will provide an inside view of the challenges facing the administration on a number of fronts, ranging from implementation of the health care law and the midterm elections in November to the crisis in Ukraine and the U.S.-brokered peace talks in the Middle East.
The panel, moderated by AP Washington Bureau Chief Sally Buzbee, will feature:
• AP Chief White House Correspondent Julie Pace
• AP State Department Reporter Matthew Lee
• Huffington Post White House Correspondent and Senior Political Editor Sam Stein
• Los Angeles Times White House Correspondent Kathleen Hennessey
The discussion, which starts at 6:30 p.m. ET at the Abramson Family Auditorium, 1307 L St. NW, in Washington, is open to the public and will also be streamed live. A reception will follow.
Admission is free, but registration is suggested.
