An all-formats package of poll stories, published across the month of June, revealed the depths of divisions among Americans about core values and national pride, while highlighting moments of unity over the importance of civil rights.
The package, including video and custom data visualization, drew on a large AP-NORC survey of more than 2,500 U.S. adults, as well as a separate AP-NORC/AAPI Data survey of Asian American and Pacific Islander adults in the U.S. It resulted in seven unique stories with bylines from four different teams across the AP, including an engaging data interactive and several deep looks at how specific groups like young adults, Black Americans or older Republicans are feeling about the U.S.’s future and the state of their own rights and freedoms.
