AP announces 2 new directors, 1 incumbent at annual meeting
NEW YORK – Two new directors and one incumbent were named to The Associated Press Board of Directors, it was announced today at the news cooperative’s annual meeting.
Two new directors were appointed to the board. They are: Lynn Beall, former TEGNA executive vice president and chief operating officer of media operations; and Iris Meijer, Verizon Business chief product and marketing officer.

The incumbent reelected to the board is Michael Newhouse, co-president, Advance.
The AP board has 10 directors. Directors are elected by members or appointed to the AP board by directors.
Each director is initially eligible to serve up to a total of nine years, although the chair is exempt from that rule.
