Hannah Dreier, reporter, Ariana Cubillos, photographer, and Vicente Marquez and Ricardo Nunes, videographers, Caracas, Venezuela, for being the first to get inside access to hospitals in Caracas for a powerfully reported story about unhealthy conditions. It was at considerable personal risk, with Dreier shaken down for money in a stairwell and threatened with deportation or jail. Guards threatened to strip-search Cubillos to find photo memory cards (which she was hiding in her bra).
