AP team leverages digital tools including interactive map and visuals to illustrate China’s expanding visa-free policy

AP staff wanted to illustrate China’s relaxing policy on visas in a way most useful to readers. They did it by creating an interactive map that allowed users to click on countries to learn what’s required. The interactive was accompanied by text built from interviews with China tourists describing relief over easier access, with photos from prominent tourism sites in Beijing.
