AP partners with Arizona State University in unique event that leaned into Top 25 brand to cap 50th Anniversary of the women’s basketball poll   

The Associated Press culminated its season-long coverage of the 50th Anniversary of the women’s basketball poll during the Final Four in Phoenix with a unique event that featured live streams, photo coverage, interactive polls, amazing graphics and spot news stories.   

Sports reporter Doug Feinberg used long-established relationships to help secure some of the biggest newsmakers in the game to participate in the “The AP Top 25 Fan Poll Experience” event and explain how the poll has served as a roadmap for the rise of the sport.  The event’s success was thanks to careful planning and collaboration across the sports, interactives, video and photo teams involving Feinburg, Darrell Allen, Panagiotis Mouzakis, Alanis Thames, John Locher, Francisco Guzman and Marta Oliver Craviotto.
