The Associated Press will showcase the new look and improved functionality for the mobile version of AP ENPS, the world’s most popular multiplatform news production system, at the NAB Show in Las Vegas next week.
The new features unify the news production workflow whether staff is in the field or in the office. Users can now upload photos and video into AP ENPS along with the stories they write from the field using a smartphone, tablet or other mobile device. Those stories can be sent anywhere; to digital production or on-air broadcast.
The new design also brings real-time content updates to AP ENPS Mobile users who could already message coworkers, access planning and rundowns, as well as search contacts and wires.
The exclusive Tablet Story Viewer (TSV) has new functionality, giving users the ability to edit stories, a big advantage for talent using the TSV in the studio.
It is easy to access AP ENPS Mobile with the new Android app, iOS app or via Web browsers.
“With our newest AP ENPS Mobile version, all staff can use the same news system for content creation and communication, no matter where they work or what platform they work on,” said Lee Perryman, director of AP ENPS.
AP ENPS is used by more than 63,000 news professionals in more than 900 newsrooms around the world.
