The AP in Wyoming

From Chugwater to Cokeville, and points in between, the Cheyenne bureau of The Associated Press covers breaking news, sports, enterprise and business news.

The
Cheyenne bureau has a full-time staff of four to provide comprehensive news and sports coverage from the eighth largest state. News in northern Wyoming is covered by AP’s Billings, Mont., office.

Since 1848, the AP, a not-for-profit news cooperative, has provided global news coverage. In
Wyoming, our news, photos and other services are published, carried online or aired in 11 daily and semi-weekly newspapers, about 60 radio and TV stations, and in some weekly newspapers.

The Wyoming AP Staff

Bureau Chief Jim Clarke oversees both states and has overall responsibility for the Wyoming news report and member relations.

Matt Joyce has been the AP's Cheyenne correspondent since February 2008, when he moved from an editing position in the AP's Dallas bureau. Matt has also worked as a reporter for the Austin bureau of the Associated Press and as a reporter and editor at daily newspapers in Colorado and Texas.

The regular Cheyenne staff consists of Newsmen Ben Neary, Mead Gruver and Bob Moen. They report on Wyoming issues as general assignment reporters and are also desk editors.

Billings Correspondent Matthew Brown covers news in northern Wyoming and eastern Montana.
