AP ENPS unveils iOS app for ENPS Mobile

enps1

The Associated Press today announced the launch of the new AP ENPS Mobile iOS app for Apple iPhones and iPads. The AP ENPS Mobile app makes accessing the power of AP ENPS from the field quicker and easier by allowing users to stay logged in at all times.

With AP ENPS Mobile, users can remotely monitor assignments and rundowns, message co-workers, write and edit stories, and access breaking news, wires, stories, planning and rundowns.

The app’s Tablet Story Viewer (TSV) lets anchors and reporters read and review stories directly from their iPhone or iPad and stay in sync with story changes automatically. All TSV content is cached on the device in the event the connection to the server is interrupted.

“Having ENPS Mobile as an app will allow us to add even more functionality for users who access AP ENPS out of the newsroom,” said Lee Perryman, director of AP ENPS.

The ENPS Mobile app is available today in the Apple app store. Your newsroom must be a licensed AP ENPS site to use ENPS Mobile.

AP ENPS produces more than half of the world’s broadcast news every day, used by over 60,000 journalists. AP recently unveiled a groundbreaking new version of ENPS.
